Choosing scarlet Valentino shoes as she embarks on a new chapter is also why Miranda makes a statement: it reminds everyone once again that the highest authority in fashion has returned.

When Andrea bursts out laughing at the Runway employees deliberating over two belts, Miranda tells her about the sweater she's wearing: 'What you're wearing isn't turquoise, it isn't lapis, it's cerulean blue,' and explains the reason that color came to be worn.
